MONDAY MEMO - June 21, 2010

Dear Prayer Partners,

I am writing this early Tuesday morning because we arrived home very

late after a very eventful day (the rest of the story will follow), but I

wanted to give a quick report of how the Lord is blessing us through the efforts for Eastland

Baptist Church's youth team.

Thursday and Friday they we passed out "Done" books (translated in Romanian - "Facut") while

sight-seeing and also distributed about 2,000 invitation flyers for a Youth Conference on Friday

night.  Unfortunately we had a heavy rain that night, but we did have some come from area

churches and messages from Pastor Dorrell and Brother Shuler made an impact on our young

people.

On Saturday, we divided into 4 teams and went to 4 different open markets where we delivered

about 2 thousand tracts and done books in less than an hour!

On Sunday, the team divided into 2 groups and Jason Shuler took his group to Lugoj by train

where they ministered in 3 different churches.  Pastor Dorrell's team was with us at the Timisoara

Independent Baptist Church for morning and evening services, and then we took them to the

Gypsy church for their evening service.  There was a visitor in each of our 2 services, one of which

came because he had received a youth conference flyer.  He shared with us that he had studied

to become a Greco-Catholic priest; but after reading his Bible, he discovered that he was not

learning the truth.  He said he was searching for a church that taught the Truth as it is in the Bible!

Please pray for him as we follow up.

    Now...THE REST OF THE STORY....

After a relaxing afternoon at our house for a barbeque, we took to team back to Timisoara by train.

Right as we entered their hotel, a torrential rain mixed with small hail began falling and lasted for

about an hour.  As soon as I was able, I waded through pools of water inches deep to our church

and discovered that the entire downstairs was flooded!  Had I been alone to face that mess, I

would still be mopping right now.  However, the Tulsa team came over and tackled the job in a

couple of hours.  They were even "singing in the rain".  It's amazing what praising can do!

Thank-you EBC!

We had to pull up all the carpet and leave it draped over some chairs and pallets to dry.  Pray

they will dry and not mildew.  I was planning to clean the carpets soon anyway!  :)
